Is Line of Fire New Tonight? NBC Air Time, Cast and the Next New Episode

Quick answer: Line of Fire has a new episode on Monday, Oct. 26, at 10 p.m. ET on NBC: "Cabin Pressure" (Season 1, Episode 6). NBC's release for that night lists 10:00 to 11:00 p.m. Eastern and prints no Pacific or Central time, so check local listings. The Futon Critic's listings agree on the date, hour and title. We read both at 12:50 a.m. ET on Oct. 24.
Last new episode: "Cul-de-Sac" (S1, E5) on Monday, Oct. 19. The series premiered on Monday, Sept. 21, with "Pilot."
Is Line of Fire new tonight?
On Mondays in the weeks listed below, yes. NBC's description of the show, as posted by The Futon Critic, calls it a drama starring Peter Krause and Hope Davis about a family of federal agents who balance their duty to the country and to each other. NBC's pilot release puts it more concretely: a family of law enforcement agents investigates a double homicide involving a U.S. Marshal, and a murder that hits close to home forces them to protect each other.
The Oct. 26 episode, in NBC's release, has Mike hatching a plan to smoke out an assassination suspect while another family member races to save a hijacked plane.
When is the next new episode of Line of Fire?
Oct. 26 is next. After that comes a gap that is easy to miss: The Futon Critic's calendar for the show has no entry at all for Monday, Nov. 2, and picks up again on Monday, Nov. 9 with "Guest List." We found no published reason for the Nov. 2 gap, so we are not offering one. NBC's Nov. 9 release has Mike trying to prove his theory about the assassination attempt at the Zenith Ball, while two other family members work together to stop a terrorist group. Nov. 16, 23 and 30 are held at 10 p.m. with the episode marked TBA.

NBC has also repeated the show on Fridays at 8 p.m. ET: "Paper Trails" aired as a repeat on Oct. 16, after repeats of the first three episodes on Thursday, Sept. 24, and on Fridays Oct. 2 and Oct. 9. No Friday repeat is listed for the weeks ahead.

Who is in the Line of Fire cast?
NBC's cast listing, posted by The Futon Critic, names six actors: Peter Krause, Hope Davis, Kat Cunning, Taylor Bloom, Tommy O'Brien and Charlie Barnett. Josh Safran is listed as creator, with Jenna Bush Hager among the executive producers. We are not listing character names: the cast listing and NBC's episode descriptions use different names for the same family, so we will add them once NBC settles on one.
What time and channel is Line of Fire on?
| Detail | Line of Fire |
|---|---|
| Network | NBC |
| Regular slot | Mondays, 10 p.m. ET |
| Pacific and Central time | Check local listings |
| Series premiere | Monday, Sept. 21 |
| Next-day streaming | Not confirmed when we checked |
| Season length | Not announced in NBC's releases |
Season length is the one number that does not line up. The Futon Critic's show page lists an 18-episode season, but the only outlet we found tying 18 to the series is Meaww, which describes an order for extra scripts rather than for episodes. Until NBC says so, treat the length as unannounced. The Monday lead-in is The Voice, and other NBC dramas have their own pages: Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order on Thursday, Chicago Med, Fire and P.D. on Wednesday and Happy's Place on Friday. The rest of the network is on the NBC page, and every show we track is on the new-tonight index.
Frequently asked questions
Is Line of Fire a repeat on Monday, Oct. 26?
No. NBC's release labels "Cabin Pressure" an original episode, and the listings carry it as new.
Why is there no new Line of Fire on Monday, Nov. 2?
The Futon Critic's listings have no entry for that Monday. NBC and the outlets we checked gave no reason, so we can only say no new episode is listed.
