Is Marshals New Tonight? Air Time, Channel and the Next New Episode

Short version: Not on Sunday, Oct. 18 anymore: that night's episode, "Falling Sky" (Season 2, Episode 3), has aired. Marshals' next new episode is on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 Central) on CBS: Season 2, Episode 4, "Blast Radius." After that comes "Secret Weapon" on Sunday, Nov. 1, listed at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT. Start times can shift if the late NFL game on CBS runs long.

The table below runs week by week through Nov. 29 and marks which Sundays have a confirmed episode, which only have a time slot so far and which have nothing listed.

Is Marshals new tonight?

On Sunday, Oct. 18, yes: "Falling Sky" was new (CBS's release and The Futon Critic's listing both gave 8:30 p.m. ET/PT). The next new hour is "Blast Radius" on Oct. 25. The Season 1 finale, "Wolves at the Door," aired May 24. The show airs on Sundays only.

Luke Grimes plays Kayce Dutton, the former Yellowstone rancher and Navy SEAL who now works with a U.S. Marshals unit in Montana. CBS's description of the Oct. 18 hour, "Falling Sky": the Marshals go after three Broken Rock residents accused of shooting down a military test drone, and the crash, which kills a Broken Rock member, raises tensions between federal authorities and tribal leadership. Kayce, meanwhile, worries about Tate's state of mind.

When is the next new episode of Marshals?

Two upcoming episodes have titles and dates: "Blast Radius" on Oct. 25 and "Secret Weapon" on Nov. 1. We reread The Futon Critic's Marshals listing on Oct. 19 (12:20 a.m. ET) and it still shows 8 p.m. for Oct. 25 and 8:30 p.m. for Nov. 1.

CBS's release for "Blast Radius" lists it at 8 to 9 p.m. ET/PT on Oct. 25: an off-hours fugitive hunt by Kayce and Andrea turns up a bomber who got away from Cal once before. CBS's release for "Secret Weapon" lists it on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. ET/PT: after a close call with a suicide bomber, the Marshals hunt for a co-conspirator armed with an even larger explosive. The Futon Critic's CBS listings hold the Sunday 8 p.m. slot for Marshals on Nov. 15, 22 and 29 with the episode marked TBA, and list nothing for Sunday, Nov. 8. A held slot isn't a confirmed episode, so the table says "listed" for those weeks until CBS names one, and we give no reason for the Nov. 8 gap because none has been published in the sources we checked. Other shows get the same treatment on the new-tonight index.

Why does Marshals sometimes start late?

Sunday is an NFL day on CBS. When the late-afternoon game runs long in the Eastern and Central time zones, everything after it slides and the 8 p.m. show starts late. The West Coast feed normally isn't affected.

Local stations can also move network shows for regional sports or news; check your CBS station if the hour doesn't match.

Who is in the Marshals cast?

Paramount+ lists these returning names for Season 2: Luke Grimes (Kayce Dutton), Logan Marshall-Green (Pete "Cal" Calvin), Arielle Kebbel (Belle Skinner), Ash Santos (Andrea Cruz), Tatanka Means (Miles Kittle), Mo Brings Plenty (Mo) and Brecken Merrill (Tate Dutton).

Frequently asked questions

Is it Marshals or Marshalls?

One L: the CBS series is named for the U.S. Marshals Service. "Marshalls" is the department store.

Can I watch Marshals without cable?

Yes. An over-the-air antenna gets your local CBS station at no cost. Paramount+ carries the live CBS feed on its Premium plan and adds each episode the next day on both plans.
