Is Tracker New Tonight? Air Time, Channel and the Next New Episode

Quick answer: The Sunday, Oct. 18 episode, "Original Parts" (Season 4, Episode 3), has aired. Tracker's next new episode is on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 9 p.m. ET/PT (8 Central) on CBS: Season 4, Episode 4, "Purification." After that, "Need to Know" is listed for Sunday, Nov. 1 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT. A long late-afternoon NFL game on CBS can push the evening start back. Tracker airs on Sundays only.

This page keeps the same address and is rechecked against the network's listings; the week-by-week table below shows whether each Sunday is new, a repeat or a gap.

Tracker Season 4 next new episode and time slot on CBS

Is Tracker new tonight?

On Sunday, Oct. 18, yes: "Original Parts" was new (CBS's release and The Futon Critic's listing both gave 9:30 p.m. ET/PT). The previous new episode was "Switchback" on Oct. 11. Season 4 began on Oct. 4, a half hour later than the regular slot in the Eastern and Central time zones. CBS's release for that night listed 9:30 to 10:30 p.m. ET and 9 to 10 p.m. PT, so the West Coast kept its usual hour.

Justin Hartley is back as Colter Shaw, the survivalist who takes reward jobs to find missing people. In the Oct. 4 opener, a teenager asked him to find his missing father, a search CBS's release tied to a criminal operation at the Port of Los Angeles. Fiona Rene (Reenie Greene), Chris Lee (Randy) and Cassady McClincy Zhang (Mel Day) return, and Jensen Ackles is confirmed to appear again as Colter's brother, Russell.

When is the next new episode of Tracker?

"Purification" on Sunday, Oct. 25 is the next one. CBS's release lists it at 9 to 10 p.m. ET/PT: a woman disappears after helping a frightened teenage runaway, and Colter's search turns up a case of abuse. CBS's release for Nov. 1 names "Need to Know" and lists it at 9:30 to 10:30 p.m. ET/PT: after a military contractor's wife and daughter are kidnapped, Colter discovers that Russell is investigating a related lead, and the Shaw brothers join forces; Jensen Ackles returns as Russell Shaw. We reread The Futon Critic's Tracker listing on Oct. 19 (12:20 a.m. ET) and it still shows those two times. For Nov. 15, 22 and 29 the listing keeps Tracker in the Sunday 9 p.m. slot with the episode shown as TBA, and it lists nothing for Sunday, Nov. 8. Those TBA Sundays are listed, but nobody has confirmed a new episode for them yet, and we give no reason for the Nov. 8 gap because none has been published in the sources we checked. The new-tonight index tracks other shows the same way.

Last new episode: Sunday, Oct. 18, Season 4, Episode 3, "Original Parts." Episode numbers follow air order; CBS's production codes run backward for these three ("Safe Harbor" TRA403, "Switchback" TRA402, "Original Parts" TRA401), so a site sorting by code swaps the first and third.

What time and channel is Tracker on?

Tracker is a CBS show. It airs Sundays at 9 p.m. Eastern and Pacific, 8 p.m. Central. Marshals, the Yellowstone spinoff, runs right before it at 8. Our CBS shows list has the network's other drama pages.

CBS carries NFL on Sunday afternoons, so the start can slide when the late game runs long. Local stations can also preempt for regional sports or news; check your CBS station if the show isn't where you expect.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the Tracker premiere at 9:30 instead of 9?

CBS scheduled the Oct. 4 premiere as a premiere-week event at 9:30 p.m. ET, 8:30 Central. Pacific viewers had it at 9 p.m. PT that night, and the regular 9 p.m. slot started everywhere on Oct. 11. CBS's release for Oct. 18 again listed 9:30; the table above shows the coming Sundays.

Can I watch Tracker without cable?

Yes. An antenna picks up your local CBS station for free, and Paramount+ streams it live on the Premium plan or the next day on either plan.
