QVC and HSN This Week (Sept. 21–27, 2026): Christmas Blocks Start Wednesday Night

We are not affiliated with QVC, HSN or ShopHQ.

This is the week now starting. It runs Monday, September 21 through Sunday, September 27, Eastern. We re-opened QVC's weekly Eastern guide on the eve of the week and every block listed below was unchanged from our first count on September 19. What is airing at this hour sits on the daily QVC and HSN schedule.

Quick answer — QVC's first Christmas block this week is the Countdown to Christmas Sale preview late on Wednesday, September 23. Monday and Tuesday carry none. HSN runs the same seven days with no Christmas-named hour at all. The full block-by-block lists for both networks are below.

Key takeaways

We read both networks' own published guides for September 21 to 27 and counted every block by hand. QVC's weekly Eastern view lists 120 programme blocks for the week; HSN's guide lists 24 hourly slots for each of the seven days.

The counting units are not identical, which is why the two tallies below are kept separate rather than added together. What they show is the same thing either way: one network has decided the holiday season starts in September, and the other has not.

When does QVC start its Christmas programming?

Wednesday, September 23. The first block on the guide with Christmas in its name is a Countdown to Christmas Sale preview in the late evening, and from there it escalates every day until the weekend.

Here is the shape of it, day by day. The middle column counts blocks whose titles actually contain the word Christmas; the right column adds the ones labelled Holiday, Harvest-to-holiday decor and seasonal lighting.

Thursday is the day the strategy becomes obvious. Alongside two Countdown to Christmas previews, the guide carries Me Home by Jennie Garth holiday decor, a Harry Slatkin miniseries built around holiday lighting, Home Reflections holiday decor and a Let It Glow beauty gifts preview — six holiday blocks in a single day, six days before October.

Thursday also runs three blocks called Better Than Black Friday Preview. A preview of a preview of a sale that is itself named after a day in late November is about as clear a signal as a schedule can give you.

Did the holiday push really start this week?

No. It started the Thursday before. We went back through QVC's guide for September 14–20 and counted six blocks on Thursday, September 17 carrying the name Black Friday Sale Preview — the midnight hour with Jane Treacy, three unhosted repeats through the early morning, an afternoon block with Mary DeAngelis, an evening one with Rick Domeier, Inside Q with Mally billed as a Black Friday Sale Preview, and a late-night close with Jane Treacy again. The same day also carried Gourmet Holiday and two home-decor hours.

The wording is what moved this week. September 17 sold a Black Friday Sale Preview. Thursday, September 24 sells a Better Than Black Friday Preview, and it arrives with Countdown to Christmas previews beside it rather than alone. So the honest answer to "is Christmas starting in September" is that the Black Friday half of it started on September 17 and the Christmas half starts on September 23.

Counted from QVC's weekly Eastern guide for 09/14/2026–09/20/2026 and 09/21/2026–09/27/2026, both re-read on the eve of the week, September 20–21, 2026.

What is QVC actually selling each day?

Away from the holiday push, the week is tightly themed. Each day has one or two names that come back four or five times, which is the pattern we described in the previous week's guide to September 14–20.

Friday is the outlier and it is worth flagging on its own. All 21 blocks on QVC's Friday guide are beauty or skincare — not a single fashion, kitchen or home hour from midnight to midnight.

If you have been waiting on a skincare line, that is the day. If you were hoping for cookware, Wednesday is the only kitchen-heavy day of the week, and it is already wearing a holiday label.

What is HSN doing the same week?

Running a normal September. HSN gives one brand most of a day's clock and lets everything else fill the gaps, so the day itself is the signal rather than any particular hour.

The only holiday-labelled hours anywhere in HSN's week are the two Holiday Kitchen Preview blocks on Friday, both built around David's Cookies. Two hours out of 168.

Which brands air on both networks this week?

One, cleanly: Doll 10 Beauty. HSN gives it a 5 p.m. hour on Wednesday and folds it into the Beauty Report with Sarah at 10 p.m. the same night; QVC runs a Doll 10 block during its all-beauty Friday.

Both networks also run an NFL shop — HSN's Football Fan Shop on Monday afternoon, QVC's Football Team Shop miniseries on Thursday evening — but these are separately merchandised, so treat them as two different shops rather than the same stock at two prices.

A Wednesday-to-Friday gap on one brand is the useful case. When the same line airs twice in a week, the second airing is the one where you already know the presentation, the sizes and roughly what the set contains, which makes it much easier to judge against the shelf price elsewhere.

Official clip from QVC on YouTube: Denim & Co., which anchors four blocks on Monday, September 21 (2026-08-17).

Which days are worth an alarm?

Monday for denim, Tuesday for footwear and jewellery, Friday for skincare, and the weekend only if you genuinely want to buy Christmas decorations in September. Wednesday is the one hybrid day: kitchen storage and cookware, already branded as a holiday edition.

The weekend caveat matters. A sale that opens three months before the holiday usually runs again, often more than once, so the September price is a floor to note rather than a deadline to meet. Our running record of what each network has actually charged sits in the QVC archive and the HSN archive.

How do you check a price when a sale block airs?

The number on screen is not the number you pay, and the gap is usually shipping. We walked through exactly how the surcharge, the return window and the restocking terms change the real total in our breakdown of both networks' fine print.

The instalment offers are the other trap. QVC's Easy Pay and HSN's FlexPay are presented as equivalent, and they are not quite — we did the total-cost arithmetic in the Easy Pay and FlexPay comparison.

If you are new to the daily deals themselves, our explainer on how the Today's Special Value works covers when it resets and how long a price is guaranteed, and the head-to-head on the two daily deals explains why they are not directly comparable. The most recent one we priced is in Friday's TSV check, and the morning-show equivalent ran in Friday's Deals & Steals round-up.

FAQ

Does QVC publish next week's schedule in advance? Yes. The weekly Eastern view has a Next Week control that shows the following seven days, which is where every QVC figure above comes from.

Are the times above Eastern or Pacific? Eastern. QVC's guide has a time-zone selector at the foot of the page; HSN's guide is published in Eastern only.

Will the Countdown to Christmas prices hold until December? No promise either way. The schedule only tells you when a sale airs, not what it costs, and neither network publishes prices ahead of a block.

What is QVC's first Christmas-named block of the week? The Countdown to Christmas Sale preview with Sandra Bennett, in the last block of Wednesday, September 23. Nothing on Monday or Tuesday carries a holiday or Christmas name.

Is HSN running any Christmas blocks this week? None. The only holiday-labelled hours in HSN's seven days are the two Holiday Kitchen Preview blocks on Friday, September 25, both built around David's Cookies.

Where can I see what is on right now rather than the whole week? Our daily schedule page tracks both networks hour by hour and is rebuilt every day.
