QVC Today's Special Value Sept. 18, 2026: philosophy Cleanse and Renewal Set — Is $99.98 Actually the Lowest Price?

We are not affiliated with QVC, HSN, ShopHQ or philosophy, and we earn nothing on anything named here. Product names are used to identify the items discussed. Prices change without notice.
Key takeaways
- Friday's Today's Special Value is philosophy's iconic cleanse and renewal set at $99.98 with free standard shipping — a 32-ounce cleanser and two 4-ounce firming serums.
- Buying those same three bottles from QVC's regular shelf this morning costs $171.98, so the set saves $72.00.
- Neither Walmart nor Target stocks these sizes at all, and philosophy's own site tops out at a 1-ounce serum, which is why the set looks so lopsided on paper.

What is today's TSV, and when is it on TV?
QVC's Eastern program guide lists philosophy hours six separate times on Friday. The first lands at midnight with Jane Treacy, and later blocks go to Leah Williams, Shawn Killinger and Sandra Bennett, with the Friday night beauty hour sitting just before the last one.
Six airings in a day is the giveaway that an item is the featured deal rather than a normal sale, the rhythm we walked through in our explainer on how the TSV clock actually works. One wrinkle: the EcoFlow power station in the same collection carries an identical eight-day counter, so philosophy is the item on air, not the only one wearing the badge. The rest of the lineup sits on our QVC and HSN schedule page.

Would the same three bottles cost more bought separately?
Yes, and we can show the receipt without leaving QVC. The 32-ounce supersize purity cleanser sits on QVC's shelf this morning as item A667707 at $51.98, marked down from $58.00, with free standard shipping. The two-pack of 4-ounce when hope is not enough serums, item A688820, is $120.00, also free shipping.
Add those and you get $171.98 for the identical trio. The set at $99.98 is therefore $72.00 cheaper, or 41.9 percent off the shelf price QVC itself is charging today. That is a real number, not a list-price number, and it is the one we would use.
| Where to buy | Price | Shipping | Pay plan | Return window | Total | Checked ET |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| QVC — today's set (A734838) | $99.98 | Free standard | 4 Easy Pays of $25.00 | 30 days, QVC's published policy | $99.98 | 12:25 a.m. |
| QVC — same bottles, bought separately (A667707 + A688820) | $51.98 + $120.00 | Free standard on both | 3 Easy Pays each | 30 days, QVC's published policy | $171.98 | 12:45 a.m. |
| philosophy.com | $64.00 for 32 oz cleanser; serum sold only in 1 oz at $52.00 | Free ground over $50 | not checked | not checked | $480.00 for the same volume | 12:55 a.m. |
| Ulta | Cleanser stops at 22 oz, $56.00 (8 oz is $29.00); serum not listed at press time | not checked | not checked | not checked | 32 oz not carried | 1:00 a.m. |
| Walmart | Zero results for the 32 oz cleanser and for the 4 oz serum; a 1 oz serum runs $51.95 from a marketplace seller | Free, 3+ days on the 1 oz | none | not checked | sizes not carried | 12:50 a.m. |
| Target | No results for the philosophy purity cleanser in a Midwest store search | — | — | — | not carried | 12:50 a.m. |
| Amazon | not checked | not checked | not checked | not checked | not checked | — |
One caveat on that last row: Amazon served our check a non-US storefront priced in won, so we left it blank rather than print a number we could not stand behind.
Where does QVC's "$294.00 if purchased separately" come from?
We went looking, because the gap between $294.00 and our $171.98 is wide enough to matter. QVC lists a third version of the 4-ounce serum at $115.00. Two of those, plus the $64.00 that philosophy's own site charges for the 32-ounce cleanser, lands on exactly $294.00.
That is our reconstruction, not a breakdown QVC publishes, though matching to the penny is suggestive. Either way it leans on the highest price each piece carries anywhere, while our $72.00 leans on what a shopper could pay this morning. Both are true; only one is useful.
What is the real total after Easy Pay and the codes?
| Route | What you pay | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| One-time shipment | $99.98 | Free standard S&H, nothing added at checkout but tax |
| 4 Easy Pays | $100.00 | Four charges of $25.00; two cents more than paying once, and no interest |
| With code VIPTSV5 | $94.98 | 5% off the day's special, QCard or HSN Card only |
| New customer, code 20NEWQ | $79.98 | $20 off a $30+ first order; HELLO20 was also posted for $20 off $40+ |
The two-cent Easy Pay rounding shows up on most split-payment items; the mechanism is in our guide to what Easy Pay costs and does not cost. Returns matter more on a $100 order, since the shipping you paid comes out of the refund — arithmetic in our shipping and returns breakdown.
What is actually in the bottles?
The cleanser is formulated with meadowfoam seed oil, wild Moroccan chamomile oil and lemongrass oil, and philosophy says it is made without parabens, phthalates, chemical sunscreens, aluminum or talc. The direction is 30 to 60 seconds on a damp face, morning and evening.
The serum's named actives are vitamin C, glutathione, peptides, sodium hyaluronate and aloe, applied four to six drops at a time after cleansing. Those are ingredient facts and manufacturer directions, not medical claims; philosophy's consumer-perception language is a survey result, not a clinical finding. Read the full ingredient list on the bottle if you have a known allergy.

Has this shown up before?
This is philosophy's first turn in the TSV slot since our log began on Sept. 7, so we have no prior price of our own. The log does show a pattern, though: Thursday's Altec Lansing boombox and Tuesday's Le Creuset oven were both items nobody else stocked, making this the third deal running where the question is not who is cheaper but who else sells it. HSN's Thursday special made the point from the other side; the structural difference is in our comparison of the two daily deals.
FAQ
How long does this price last? The on-page counter said eight days, putting the end around Sept. 26. QVC can change that, so read the counter before ordering.
Is the auto-delivery version cheaper? No. Item A745445 is the same $99.98 for the same contents; the only difference is that it ships again on a schedule until you cancel.
What is the cost per ounce? Forty ounces of product for $99.98 works out to $2.50 an ounce. The same volume assembled from philosophy's own site would be $12.00 an ounce, and from QVC's regular shelf, $4.30.
Can I get the 32-ounce cleanser elsewhere? Philosophy's site sells it at $64.00. Ulta's largest is 22 ounces and Walmart returned nothing, so the supersize is a QVC and brand-site item.
Best way to buy today
On total cost, QVC's set wins outright at $99.98 delivered, and it is not close: the same three bottles from QVC's own shelf are $171.98 and the brand site's equivalent volume is $480.00. A QCard or HSN Card holder can take it to $94.98 with VIPTSV5, and a genuine first-time customer can reach $79.98.
The runner-up is the separate-purchase route at $171.98, which only makes sense if you want the cleanser without eight ounces of serum sitting in a cabinet. That is the real question here — not whether the discount is genuine, because it is, but whether a 32-ounce jug and two large serums match how fast you actually go through skincare. If they do not, the cheapest bottle you never finish is still the most expensive one. More of these checks sit in our QVC archive.
