Tory Johnson ran a 50%-off-plus-free-shipping segment on the 8 a.m. hour of Good Morning America this morning. We pulled all six products, then checked the same items at the brands' own stores, Walmart and Target between 9:20 and 9:35 a.m. ET on Sept 8, 2026. Prices change without notice.

alicia adams alpaca Field Blanket — $98.50

A whipstitched, colour-blocked throw in recycled alpaca, recycled wool and cotton. The segment offers 28 colourways, all at one price.

We opened the brand's own catalogue and read the price off every Field Blanket variant: $575.00, with none discounted. That makes this a $476.50 gap on a single item — the widest in the segment by a factor of two.

Verdict: buy here. There is nowhere else selling this blanket at any price we could find.

BedJet 3 Climate Comfort Sleep System — $284.50

A bedside unit that pushes warm or cool air under the covers, with a remote and hourly temperature scheduling. It fits any mattress size, adjustable beds included. Limit two per order.

Here is the wrinkle the segment does not mention. BedJet's stated list is $569, but the brand's own storefront is already running $498 today against a $699 MSRP. So the honest saving is $213.50 against what you would actually pay at bedjet.com this morning — still the best number in the segment on a big-ticket item, but not the $284.50 the headline implies.

The other thing worth weighing: buying direct comes with a 60-night trial and free return shipping. The partner order does not advertise one. On a $285 appliance you may sleep badly next to, that is not a small difference. Verdict: buy here if you are confident; buy direct if you want the trial.

Cariloha bedding — $99.50 to $179.50

Bamboo-derived sheet sets in two weaves, plus sateen duvet cover sets and comforters. The segment carries the Classic (viscose) and Retreat (lyocell) lines; the Resort line is not in it.

Checked 9:26–9:38 a.m. ET. Target was running its own 20% off Cariloha this morning and still could not get within $90 of the Retreat king.

Two traps to avoid. First, Walmart's cheap "Aloha Soft by Cariloha" sets ($99–$129) and Target's Aloha Soft ($79.20–$111.20 on sale) are a different, entry-level line — not the Classic in this segment, so do not read them as the same product at a lower price. Second, cariloha.com runs a standing "up to 50% off clearance" rack, which can match today's price on colours it happens to be clearing. The difference is that the segment applies to current colourways in every size up to split king.

Verdict: buy here.

Honeydew Sleep pillows — $19.99 to $149.99

Handmade pillows with a shoulder cut-out for side sleepers, plus body pillows, silk cases and sleep masks. Every pillow in the segment ships with the organic cooling pillowcase included. Limit six per product.

We compared every segment SKU against the live price on Honeydew's own store, and the pattern held all the way down the list — each one is half of what the brand charges this morning, not half of some archived MSRP. The king pillow is the biggest single gap at $130 off, and the travel pillow undercuts Walmart's listing by $60.

Verdict: buy here.

EarthKind pest bundles — $24.50 to $37.50

Corn-cob pouches infused with botanical oils, plus a Picaridin body spray. EarthKind says the pouches work by making treated spaces unattractive to rodents and insects rather than by killing them, and describes the 20% Picaridin spray as a CDC-recommended alternative to DEET with up to 14 hours of protection per application. Follow the label; these are pest products, not household cleaners.

Checked 9:25–9:34 a.m. ET. We rebuilt each bundle out of the brand's own individual listings, and the arithmetic lands within cents of the stated "was" price every time — $61.55 and $74.80 are real sums, not marketing numbers.

The one caveat: Walmart sells the plain Fresh Cab 4-pack for $21.98, under the brand's own $25.80. If you only want four pouches and no Pouch Pod, Walmart is the cheaper door. Buy the bundle and you are paying roughly $2.60 a pouch against Walmart's $5.50 — so the bundle still wins the moment you want eight.

Verdict: buy here for eight pouches or more; buy at Walmart for a single 4-pack.

GOAT Foods taffy and pretzels — $6 to $36

Ten-ounce tubes of small-batch salt water taffy and flavoured pretzels, mix-and-match in threes or sixes.

Checked 9:27–9:39 a.m. ET. Exactly half of the brand's list, straight down the line.

Per ounce, though: $6 for a 283 g tube is about $0.60 an ounce, while Walmart's five-pound bag of a different brand's taffy works out near $0.25. If you want candy by weight, the bag wins. If you want six labelled flavour tubes that look like a gift, this is the format you are actually paying for.

Verdict: buy here if you want the tubes; skip if you just want taffy.

The BedJet is the largest dollar saving in absolute terms, but only $213.50 of it is real once you account for the brand's own markdown — which is why it sits just outside this list.
