GMA Deals & Steals Sept 17, 2026: All 6 Beauty Brands, Price-Checked Against Each Brand's Own Store

We are not affiliated with ABC, "Good Morning America," QVC or HSN.

The strangest thing in today's "GMA" Deals & Steals is not a bad price. It is a price that already existed. Keratin Complex's own store publishes every one of the nineteen items in this morning's lineup twice β€” once at the full price, and once at exactly the number announced on air. Same item number, same bottle, same size.

The segment is not a bust: two of the six brands hold up as a clean half price on every item, checked one product code at a time. But "50% off" does very different work at each storefront β€” the same lesson the last Deals & Steals we took apart produced.

What is in today's Deals & Steals?

Six brands, 128 items, every one marked at half of a listed price. The segment aired in the 8 a.m. hour on ABC and the written version posted at 8:41 a.m. ET. Every deal is stamped valid 09/17/2026 to 09/17/2026 β€” one day, no carryover, unlike the multi-day View Your Deal format.

One correction: ABC says the deals start at $7. The floor is CHI's Botanical Bliss Hair Perfume at $6.70.

How did we check the prices?

Each brand runs its deal through a separate storefront that publishes a product code per item, and four of the six publish the same codes on their own retail sites. Matching by code rather than name dodges the classic trap β€” comparing a jumbo jar to a standard one. Sixty-one codes matched exactly.

BrandCodes matchedWhat the brand site charges todayReal cut
StriVectin14 of 14Full price on all 14A true 50%
INNBEAUTY PROJECT23 of 24Full price on all 23A true 50%

CHI4 compared at UltaBelow the listed "retail" on 332.5% – 47.1%
Keratin Complex19 of 19Same price already published0% on 18, 12.5% on 1

Amazon, Walmart and Target all refused price lookups this morning, so those three are not checked and left out rather than guessed. Comparisons come from each brand's own store, Dermstore for ELEMIS, and Ulta for CHI hot tools β€” the same discipline we apply to a QVC daily special.

Which brands are a true half price?

StriVectin β€” the clean one

All fourteen codes matched, and all fourteen sit at exactly half of what strivectin.com charges right now β€” no sale running underneath, no size swap. Watch which size you are buying: the $159 neck cream is the jumbo, while the 1.7 oz version is $99 on the brand site and $49.50 here. Both halves are honest.

ELEMIS β€” verified on the two that matter

ELEMIS blocks automated reads, so we checked its two best-known items by hand. The Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm 100g is $75 on elemis.com and $75 at Dermstore, making the $37.50 deal a straight half; Marine Cream 50ml is $150 on the brand site against $75 here. Dermstore's $63.75 auto-replenish price on the balm is the next-best standing offer, beaten by $26.25. The other 26 ELEMIS items carry the same 50% structure, but we did not price them individually and will not claim we did.

Dr. Brandt β€” eight items where 50% is really 33%

All 23 codes matched. Fifteen are a genuine half. The other eight are items drbrandtskincare.com already discounts 25% today, so the deal saves a third off the live price, not half β€” the same pattern we flagged at earlier Deals & Steals segments.

ItemDealListed "was"Brand price todayReal cut
Time Defying Cream 1.7oz$66.00$132.00$99.0033.3%

Gentle Microdermabrasion Face Exfoliator 2oz$39.50$79.00$59.2533.3%

Soul Dew Essence 3.4oz$35.00$70.00$52.5033.3%
Revitalizing Face Serum 1oz$67.50$135.00$135.0050%
Pore Refiner & Minimizing Primer 1oz$24.00$48.00$48.0050%

The primer needs a note: the brand sells two. The deal item is the 1 fl oz version at $48, not the 0.5 fl oz at $25 β€” confirmed by code, so $24 really is half.

INNBEAUTY PROJECT β€” half price, but mind the $5.99

Twenty-three of 24 codes matched, every one at exactly half the brand's full-size price; the odd one out is a seasonal lip oil shade the brand site does not currently list. This is the only brand here charging shipping on small orders, and at these prices it matters. A single $11 lip oil arrives at $16.99, and the full-size Extreme Cream at $25 lands at $30.99 against $50 on the brand site β€” a clear win, but stack a few items rather than buying one.

Keratin Complex β€” the deal price is already on the brand's site

This one made us re-run the check twice. Keratin Complex publishes two listings for each of these products: a consumer listing at the higher price, and a second at exactly the deal price, tagged in the store's own catalog as professional. The item numbers are identical β€” K13HS is K13HS on both.

Item (code)DealListed "was"Brand consumer listingBrand professional listing

Color Care Smoothing Shampoo 13.5oz (KC13.5CCPOO4)$15.00$30.00not listed$15.00
Healthy Hair Trio Kit (UKIT22)$14.00$28.00$32.00$16.00

Eighteen of the nineteen deal prices match the professional listing to the cent; the Healthy Hair Trio Kit is the only one that beats it, by $2. On the Color Care and Keratin Care shampoo and conditioner sizes, the brand site publishes no consumer listing at all β€” the only price it shows is the deal price.

What we could not verify is whether that lower listing lets an ordinary shopper through checkout or asks for a stylist account. If it asks, the deal is your route in and the price is fine. If it does not, you can buy these any day at the same number. Either way, today's segment is not a discount on Keratin Complex β€” it is a tie.

CHI β€” the "retail" on the dryer is the one to watch

CHI publishes no machine-readable catalog, so we compared four hot tools against Ulta, which stocks the same models.

ItemDealListed "was"Ulta todayReal saving
Volumizer 4-in-1 Blowout Brush$63.50$127.00$119.99$56.49 (47.1%)
LAVA MiniStyler$59.34$118.67$109.99$50.65 (46.0%)
LAVA AirGlide$148.44$296.87$219.99$71.55 (32.5%)
LAVA Special Edition 1.5" iron*$71.95$143.90$149.99$78.04 (52.0%)

*The deal's 1.5-inch iron is a Special Edition; Ulta's closest listing is the standard LAVA 1 1/2" iron, so treat that row as a class comparison, not a code match.

The AirGlide is the outlier: its listed retail of $296.87 sits $76.88 above Ulta's price for the same dryer, turning an advertised half price into a real cut of about a third. Still the cheapest AirGlide we found β€” just not a 50% one. Shipping cuts the other way on small tools: the MiniStyler at $59.34 plus CHI's $9.99 shipping is $69.33 delivered against $109.99 at Ulta. Two items we could not place: the Spin n Curl Red at $65.50 and the Lava Pro Hair Dryer at $149, neither listed at Ulta β€” both not checked.

What are the best buys of the segment?

  1. StriVectin TL Advanced Tightening Neck Cream PLUS 3.4oz, $79.50. Biggest verified dollar saving of the segment, code-matched against a $159 brand listing that is not on sale, free shipping.
  2. ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Marine Cream 50ml, $75. Half of the $150 the brand charges today, free shipping.
  3. CHI Volumizer 4-in-1 Blowout Brush, $63.50. The cleanest hot-tool match: same model as Ulta's $119.99 listing, $56.49 off even after shipping.

Think twice about Keratin Complex, and about the eight Dr. Brandt items where the brand's own 25% sale has already done most of the work.

How do the "GMA" deal links work?

Each brand gets its own temporary storefront for the day. You are not buying from ABC, and not from the brand's regular site either β€” it is a separate shop that runs for 24 hours, with shipping, returns and customer service belonging to the vendor rather than the show. Nothing here splits into instalments, which is the practical difference from the Easy Pay and FlexPay plans the cable shopping channels run.

ABC and Tory Johnson earn a commission on those links; we do not, which is why the alternative-store prices above are where we spend the morning.

Everything here expires tonight. A QVC Today's Special Value runs to about 1:10 a.m. ET the next morning and an HSN Today's Special ends around 11 p.m. ET; a Deals & Steals storefront simply stops taking orders. Our daily-deal comparison lays out how the three formats differ, and the shipping and returns breakdown covers what each one charges to send something back.

FAQ

Do the products actually work? We do not make that call. Cosmetics of this kind are not reviewed or approved by the FDA before they go on sale, and the segment's claims are the brands' own marketing language. We check price, size and whether the crossed-out number is real.

Can I still buy these tomorrow? Not at these prices β€” every item is stamped valid for September 17 only. The brands' own sites keep selling at their regular prices, and in Keratin Complex's case at the same price.

Was anything sold out? No β€” all 128 items showed in stock at 9:27 a.m. ET. The cheap items go first.

Why no Amazon or Walmart column? Both blocked our lookups this morning, as did Target. Verified beats guessed.

Where are today's other on-air deals? The QVC and HSN pages carry today's daily specials, the on-air schedule tracks which brands are on screen hour by hour, and how a TSV works explains why those reset at midnight while this one does not.
